A brief history:

Years ago when digital cellular service was implemented, many of us gave up our 3 Watt Analog car phones (the original cellular phone) for the smaller portable digital cellular phones. The first thing most of us noticed is that newer is not always better . Our new portable phones just didn't have the power to get decent reception. Many of us added external antennas . This was better but it just wasn't as good as the full 3-Watts we enjoyed with our old car phones. On top of that, we used to know by the static on our analog phones exactly when we were going to drop a call. With the new digital phones it is simply a digitized blip, blip, blurp and the person you are speaking with vanishes into the digital ether! (We call this "digital static")

At that time, we talked with the major cellular phone manufacturers and were promised car kits with 3 watt boosters so we could improve the weak performance of these new digital portables. Years went by and nothing came from the manufacturers. Meanwhile, the carriers insisted that their new digital network was so great that there was no need for a phone to have more than 6/10ths (0.6 watts) of a watt. Not true!

Since those days, many carriers have joined the cellular arena and new frequencies have been added (1900MHz). This seemed to push the phone manufacturers further away from developing a booster anytime soon.

Until Now!

It's finally here! After years of waiting we have the first, True Dual Band, completely carrier compatible digital amplifier / booster. Fully FCC approved . Improved performance and quality!

We're excited to be able to offer our customers this incredible amplifier!

Works with BOTH 800MHz and 1900MHz carriers.

Compatible with all current US Cellular/PCS systems (TDMA, CDMA, PCS, GSM, GPRS, Analog, etc) and phones (provided your phone has accommodations for an external antenna hookup ) Interfaces seamlessly with carrier requirements for power output and interference. Follows all power stepping protocols and requirements! Also works great with handsfree car kits.

What it does:

When hooked up as shown in the illustration below, the amplifier increases your cellular signal by amplifying the minuscule 0.2 - 0.6 watts of your portable phone to 3 Watts!  Effectively increasing your gain up to 20dB!

What this means to you:

- The maximum power allowed by the carriers

- Much fewer dropped calls

- Greater range for fringe areas - Place calls where you never could before!

- Clearer conversations

New Wireless Mobile Repeater System!

See Also our new wireless Mobile repeater system!

How it works:

Using an external antenna (not provided) you simply plug the antenna cable into the antenna port of the Amplifier. On the other end of the unit you plug in the portable phone via your adapter or handsfree car kit (not included) and extension cable (included).

Power for the amplifier is supplied by your 12VDC car (not included) or other 12VDC power supply
(2A minimum - not included) available at your local Radio or Electronics store.

Special Notes:

This is a professional grade, three watt amplifier. Our testing has shown this unit works incredibly well in all areas. However, your current situation may only require an external antenna to improve your reception. This unit should be utilized by people who want / need the larger increases this amplifier will provide.

You might prefer to take a two-step approach to improving your reception. First, purchase an adapter and external antenna and see how they do in your situation. If this setup works for you, you're done. However, if you find you need (or want) additional power you can always purchase this amplifier at a later date. And if you do decide to purchase one, you'll never want to do without it!

Repeater Setup:

This unit was NOT designed to be used as a repeater system. The gain is too low and the sensitivity is not sufficient to accomplish adequate signal. If you are interested in a repeater system, go here.

This unit was designed to be directly attached to the antenna output of your phone (if available). It works well in a vehicle, RV or in a home office with a fixed station or mobile antenna (configuration limitations apply)
